The AI in the Emperor Edition is better than the one in the original game, but still too far from perfect. I have played the game with eight players on lowest settings and I can't get more than 20 fps. Also, the running speed is the same on light and heavy troops, there are too few playable factions without having to buy the downloadable content, which in my opinion is too expensive for what it has to offer. The generals and the skill tree are horrible, they gain traits way too fast, the speed of units in battle is too fast and the height of the troops are all the same. It's not perfect, but it's how Rome 2 should have been when it was launched. When the game was launched, I had like 30 fps on ultra, being unplayable for me, but now I have like 50-60 fps with fifteen thousand soldiers on the map, with the same settings. Sincerely I was disappointed by Rome 2 at the beginning, it had low resolution and no polish whatsoever, but now, with Emperor Edition, the game is actually good.
